Magnetic bookmark tutorial

I love projects that use up all those scrapes that come from sewing. Here is one that only takes two strips of fabric! Here is the link to the tutorial. They would make great teacher gifts and would fit easily into a greeting card.

Dragonfly in Thread

This is my submission for an upcoming quilt show. the image was created using thread painting. I used my free motion foot and a wide array of thread combinations. I'm not going to lie, this was a crazy amount of work. With an actual deadline of a show hanging over my head I had to sew like a mad woman!

Face Painting Tutorial

My daughter landed the role of the Vixen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The make up they used made her face break out so I said I would give hypoalergenic face paint a try. With Halloween coming up,  I thought my blog readers would enjoy a step-by-step tutorial.
