Mandala Madness
I've been working on mastering Photoshop and I began making these mandalas and I can't seem to stop! They are not only fun to make, they are mesmerizing to look at! Happy meditations.

Spring Inspiration
I’ve gone back to my roots and done a lot of graphic design
lately. So, I thought I would share with you some of the pallets I’m putting
together. Here is a photo I took on my morning walk. I love the vibrancy of new
leaves and its juxtaposition to the remnants of the last season’s dead foliage.
Whether you are looking for a spring
inspired quilt pallet or yarn combinations for a crochet project, these colors are
sure to inspire.

Work In Progress
Here is a really good example of how I work. I start with what I call the "T" zone (Eyes, Nose and Mouth.) Then I start to work the edges of the face working my way in to the lighter skin tones. I work the hair last. It can be the most tedious part of a portrait. It is a point I'm most likely to stall because I know it is going to be hours of building up color and those sharp pencil movements that make hair look like - well - hair.

Show Me Your Granny!
Square, that is. I love a good old
fashion granny square. From these rather somber colors to eye popping neon,
there seems to be an endless creative well of ideas. Got a granny you would
like to show off? Send me your granny and I’ll post it for all to see. Send
your photo to: l.panfil@roadrunner.com
