FREE Baby Blanket Pattern


This is an excellent pattern for those of you new to crochet. Working a shell pattern helps you avoid that nagging problem of wavy sides. Simple and beautiful.
Materials
Worsted Weight Yarn 39 ounces
Crochet Hook: Size H
Description of Shell: 3 dc, ch 1, dc
Ch 133
Row 1 (Right Side): (3 dc, ch 1, dc) in the sixth ch from the hook (shell made) * skip next 3 chs, work shell in the next ch; rep from * across to the last 3 chs, skip next 2 chs, dc in last ch. (32 shells)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), turn; work shell in each shell ch-1sp across, dc in top of beginning ch: 32 shells
Row 3 Ch 3, turn; work shell in each shell across, dc in the last dc. Rep row 3 until the baby blanket is your desired length.
Complete with your favorite edging.

    I saw a pattern the other day but couldn't print it because I wasn't at my printer, but the pattern is similar to this. I copied down the first two rows and ran out of time.     you start with a g or h hook and a baby yarn.

    ch. 134
    row 1: Working in back stitches only, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in each ch. across
    row 2: ch.3 (count as first DC) DC in both loops of each next 2 sc, *skip 3 sc of previous row, then (3dc, ch1, 3dc) all in back loop of next sc, skip 3 sc of previous row, dc in both of each next 3sc **repeat from * to ** till end of row.

    That was all I wrote down and forgot to write down the website. Can you help me out here?

  9. I love the pattern, i'm trying to find the yarn you used. It looks similar to super saver redheart Calliope or Sherbet Print but i'm not sure.
